Dear Friends and Colleagues

Over the last several days, the IBA, its President and its Directors, together with the Co-Chairs for the IBA Latin American Regional Conference and the Host Committee, have carefully monitored the recent events in the central- southern region of our host country, Chile.

We are very conscious of the importance that the IBA Latin American Regional Conference has for not only for the IBA, but also the Chilean community, and of course, each of you. After meticulously studying the situation, we have determined that the most prudent course of action to assure the event’s success is to postpone the dates to April 14th through April 16th.

Such a change of plans will inevitably create inconvenience. Nevertheless, we are certain that each of you appreciates that our objective is to guarantee that the Conference be fruitful and a success. The local Organizing Committee’s careful review lead us to the unavoidable conclusion that this change must be made in order to ensure that the locations and other aspects of the event fully comply with the IBA´s strict standards of security and reliability.

On behalf of the Host Committee and ourselves, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your gestures of support and solidarity, your confidence and concern during these past few days. We are confident that the Conference will be a great success and that these measures will maintain the originally planned program, with the support of the panels co-chairs and speakers, and ensure that the Conference meets your expectations.

Chile, through the character of its people, its business community, its opportunities, is moving forward.
